There is a good sticky at the top of this forum
Also you can search on getting started. https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/a...to-auto-x.html https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/a...autocross.html there are many clubs in the area they hold events. Pick one and come on out. B |
The SCCA has an event April 12,13 with the 12th being practice. Very laid back and lots of runs with free instructions. Plus they use the small cones (ROFL)...
The schedule is here |
Your also welcome to come and try the rallycross on April 13th it's a lot like auto cross except we drive on dirt. It's a little more laid back of an event. with the nature of it, it has to be.
Loren, Bam2002, Myself, and perhaps a few others will be testing the lemons car on track, and a few rallycross runs that day. feel free to come out even if you just want to hang out. |
If your car will pass tech and is generally safe and in good running condition, consider it done and stop worrying about it. You can look up the requirements on the internet.
If you want your first time to go more smoothly, go research autocrossing on the internet. Videos of runs, personal anecdotes about racing, guides for newbies on what to expect and how to get started, all this stuff is easily available. If you don't want to do that you could probably just show up and start asking lots of questions. I prefer to know what I'm getting into ahead of time so I researched it. |
Whoa, testing the lemon at the rallycross?? Good thinking! I really want to do one after watching some of the youtube vids of rallycrosses at EastBay! What a blast!!
