I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I have run a couple events with FAST and SCCA. The food doesn't bother me and since I'm just in it for fun I normally go to the practice events fro the SCCA in Brooksville. Last time we got 12 runs in. I had a blast. I'll be there Feb 23rd as well.

I don't see this being a problem... I "came up" in the northeast and within an hour or so drive of my house there were 6 SCCA regions and a TON of marque clubs. I ran EVERY Saturday and Sunday for many of those years. the only times we would get the REAL big numbers 220+ drivers was when we were the only game in town. (winter series, holiday weekend) one of the local clubs started to have their events during the week evenings. and got a decent turnout. That club Still runs their track days during the week. they learned they were filling up their weekend track days and the tracks are cheaper and more available on weekdays. mark my words there will be at least one weekday evening rallycross before 2008 is over.

Technically I would be out running against you but I am going to the Dixie National Tour to compete.
