paving is going on as we speak, curbing goes in next week, or there abouts, so not yet, to be honest it's the old rally stage 2 I believe. they mowed down the jumps (mostly), widened the roads and paved over it. made a smaller loop road (the short circuit) to link with the existing paddock, runway type thing. check google earth. it might be there by now.

Yano, Jeff... for a guy who makes his living as a salesman, you suck at delivering information.

What's "ERS"? Where is this track? Is it a new track? For those of us not in the know... can we buy a vowel?

It's Ivor's European Rally School in Stark.
I always ran rally-x up there, but they have a kart track and that long strip of pavement that could be used for auto-x only.

The new track should be awesome.

So im trying to follow.
Lets say the Family competition is 3600 a year? Plus the 1500 one time fee.
Then below it states Member track days are $100??
Is that 100 over the inital fees?
If so then Ill keep going to Sebring. I can do a day there with no Membership for $200.

I can understand the socal club thing if I lived 20 min away. but a 2.5 hour drive makes hanging out there impossible.

Also I can go another 30 min up to Jennings and run on a Very nice Cycle track for $120 a day.. Again No additional fees.

There is another place opening over by Lakeland. Their fee to join the Club with unlimited track time is 50 Grand.. so I guess this place isnt to bad..
But more expensive than doing SAFE or PBOC days at Sebring..

I might, I know I don't plan my thoughts completely when spitting stuff out.. didn't think it needed it. anyway, yes European Rally School, they have a very decent facility. Now to be known as ERS motorsports Park.

As I understand it from talking to people there, your first 24 track days are included in the Comp membership.

the daily fees are only for social level memberships. so lets use your example, $3400 gets you 24 events.

that is <$142 per event day, per driver, if you hit all 24 track days, your second year that number drops to $100 per event per driver.

and for $180 a month you can add a garage with power to your membership.

Now the track is also being rented to local clubs so you can go to a typical track day with your normal BMWCCA, PCA, NASA etc. without being a member, and the track is pretty affordable to the clubs (1/3 of what Sebring costs to rent for a day.

so expect lesser entry fees for club events. I'm going to assume close to the cost of a Morroso event. but without the whole alligator pits on track out thing I love so much there.

if you are using $200 per driver per event your break even in the first year is 18 event days additional years 12 events is a break even

Hmm ok thats not to bad. I dont know if Id have the time to do 24.. to me 12 would be ideal.. Just because of the cost of tires, brakes etc..

So when will then be open? I am looking at a possiblity of a Lemons race there in 09?

Actually I just got an email back from him
I was hoping we could get some kind of referral kickback, comission, discount, but no.

however if we sign up 4 at a time as a "corporate" membership it's only 1375 a year Per Person. so there is no reason NOT to sign up in groups of four. unless you needed the kids entry. hey that's $57 per track day! or $114 if you did only 12 of them. anyone else want to sign up under my corporation?

I spent Easy $2500 on entry fees last year. which reminds me I need to start picking up some Instructor jobs.
