Since the Snowbird Nationals are going on this weekend i knew i wanted to capitalize on the cool air of this week so i went to Desoto tuesday night. a buddy gave me some old Compt T/A R1s. i was hoping they would hook better than the street tires even though they had a thinner contact patch. on the way to the track i realized that one was way out of balance or flat spotted crap
anyway i still hit a new et record with the 60 degree air and 6 of the 9 runs were under 12.2 seconds.
i was pretty excited to break into the 11s for the 1st time. not bad for a full interior/ A/C cd playing daily driven family car. it also looks stock as can be i wonder what the heck the car would run with some decent Nitto drag radials? and some even cooler air??? hmmm that would be sweet.
i also cut a perfect .500 light on my 2nd pass of the night that was pretty cool. in Louisiana they give nice prizes for cutting a perfect light. it was a fluke for me im not that good it just happened.
there was a wicked corvette painted in the Blue and white Grandsport colors with a built motor and nitrous running low 11s (almost 10s) and a nice black supercharged mustang running low 11s too. it was the night for 11s. but my car looks and sounds like a 14 second car and that makes it that much sweeter to me. oh did i mention it is practically silent? heck i cant even hear the exhaust.
i might go to the van dyke burger king car show saturday night hope to see you there.... where the heck are my tamparacing.com stickers???? hmmmm

Pretty good times!! Pretty quiet though. The best thing about the turbo is hearing the BOV.

true but my blow off valve releases to the intake instead of atmosphere so it isnt loud when you let off the throttle like most cars. a few people said they could hear it when i let off at the burnout but that was it. even then it was quiet. too quiet actually one day ill do a straight pipe from the cat back. itl still be quiet cause the turbo chops up the sound waves.
