Are there rules/classifications other than Time Attack/Super Solo?
Are there chassis regulations: fuel cell, SCCA reg. cage?
I am very interested but would like some additional info.

Just making sure this is fine before I sign up. and try to drag Loren out of hiding.
We are requiring some type of licensing for Time Attack. A NASA, PBOC or similar SOLO certification is enough.

Time Attack isn't wheel-to-wheel is it? If not, what is the reasoning for a license?

Default Time Attack rules.

These were the only Clearly defined time attack rules I could find.

http://www.redlinetimeattack.com/doc...es_V.1.1.2.pdf

Basically it's 9 classes

Stock (road legal Cars, no professionals, 140 utog, seats must remain)
-FWD
-RWD
-AWD

Modified (DOT Racing tires, pro drivers, flairs etc Boost, flairs etc)
-FWD
-RWD
-AWD

Unlimited (only rules are no nitrous and no tube frame)
-FWD
-RWD
-AWD

P.S. I'm looking for a Co-Driver. to help cover expenses.

Jeff

The reason is Simple. It would be irresponsible for Moroso to allow somebody with more Money than sense out on the track. Safety is the primary issue at Moroso so they want to make sure that those out there have at least some type of performance driving background.
Soon Moroso will be announcing it's own Performance Driving school which will allow those completing it to be able to drive in other upcoming Moroso Events.

That's what I figured. From what I've heard Moroso has had a little more than their fair share of lawyers coming after them. Too bad. In the ten years I've been lapping that track I have never seen anything out of line.

Good to see them still going strong with events like this.

It's not Morroso, it's every racing venue under the sun. or at least in America (The land of the litagation lottery) I've spoken to several people at Morroso and they run a tight ship, sure it's not as fancy as some places but the people are down to earth and realistic about putting on REAL compeditive events (I intend to run the Time attack Sat AND the Rallycross Saturday night) what other venue offers this...

It's refreshing to see they are SERIOUS about offering a SAFE, COMPEDITIVE enviornment for us freaks to get our jollies.

These events are a step in the right direction and I applaud Morroso for doing them. I've accepted the fact that we will never be like germany and be able to allow open public access to our racetracks. (norschlife) but the flexability and desire they have to please us really hits home with me. I was considering the cost of this event a bit out of my budget, but I changed my mind.
