Damn, NASA doesn't give you much track time, barely more than 1.5 hours for $250?

Yeah, not the best bargain around. They run a good event from what I hear, though. (I've not run with NASA FL, but I have run with NASA SE) In spite of the time available with some of the other clubs, I rarely run much more than 2 hours in a day, anyway. From that perspective, it's not TOO bad.

The main Diffrence I see ins NASA is Nationwide and has REAL classes to Compete in, Sure if I wanted to invest 10,000 in the sentra I could race with PBOC but why. Nasa SE is a much better bargian, they don't run in florida but have an awesome Worker for free run program for cheap people like me. they have a REAL race series and sanction the best time trial/time attack program out there. This is where the SCCA looses so many people it's SUCH a large step from autocross to Wheel to wheel and Solo-1 while fun ESP. hillclimb events. is still a big step to get the saftey gear etc. If there was a hillclimb program around here I'd have a solo-1 bar in the car allready but there is no need with nasa. plus most tracks in florida arent Rollover prone.

I Like the guys at Chin and safe but where can you go. solo? then what? instructor. it's the competition that feeds my passion, weather it's trying to lap a peticular course faster then Loren, or actually competing in a real time trial.

NASA, SCCA, SAFE, Chin, all different animals for different objectives.

Best track time bargin by far is SAFE - limited entries and no run groups!
Chin for instruction.
SCCA for high profile.
NASA bridges the gap between Chin and SCCA and is coming on strong.

Then there are the specific car clubs that offer great track opportunities.

That's the way I see it anyway. It is a great time to be a car nut. These opportunities weren't near as prevalent 25 years ago.

Of the groups I've run with so far, I've liked PBOC the best; they typically have discounted pricing for a full weekend vs Chin at $250+/day, they have more run groups with smaller sessions so you're not throwing time away that you can't use anyway due to fatigue and their instructors seemed great the two days I ran with them.

What's everyone doing from mid-June to mid-July? There doesn't seem to be anyone with any events happening; I'm looking for some Florida track time somewhere in there.

Yeah, I'm going to be signing up for the SAFE event, I might try to do the NASA Florida event on June 23/24 if I can work that out, I was contemplating VIR with Chin on July 4th but that's a serious drive with the trailer, probably $400 in gas.

You own a Radical, a Lambo and a Benz. We're aren't going to cry for you over any of your gas issues.
