Question Primus - Getting Closer!

We're so close to having stuff nailed down it's not even funny.

The last hurdle is EMS, and it looks like it's going to cost us quite a bit more than we initially thought. As a result, if something doesn't change soon, we may end up raising the entry fees by $10. That would put members at $60 and non-members at $70.

Is that extra $10 gonna kill anybody? Lemme know if you've got major gripes with it. Even at $70, it's going to be 10x the seat time of an autocross for about 3x the expense on a real race track.

The OTHER option is to come up with some sponsorship. All we need at this point is $500/event. I'd be happy to accept a sponsor for the first event with no obligation to the other 3 events. If anyone has any contacts that can make that sort of thing happen, it would get our entry fees back down to $50/$60, which is where we wanted them to be.

That's all for now.

Chet, if you go back about 10 threads, you'll find all of the info that's currently available.

Pre-registration is not open yet and final details aren't quite set. All will be posted here within the next week or so.

Looking forward to the event, except for the slalom on the straightaway. I may have to roll right through them...

We probably won't have the slalom there since we've gotten clearance from the insurance company to run the track as-is with a stated speed limit of 70, which will be monitored by the instructors. If we do leave the slalom there, it will be an optional item for those who want to practice slaloming.

In the future, if/when we progress to open track events (we may have to change insurance carriers to do that because of their silly "all cars must have a roll bar" rule), we'll be able to let you run flat-out in the fast section.
