i traded some tires i had on my old dodge i scraped to the dude that owned the dodge befor me for a sony 222 watt amp... let me tell you what I FUCKING HATE IT all this damn thing has is 2 chanals or 1 a level LPF on and off.. i mean its good for bass he had this amp on 2 alpine type E i think they where he had them in a 1985 camaro and they pounded hard but for what i was going to use it for im not empresed i was useing it for mids and it destorts the hell out of them. looks like ill be looking for anouther amp... anyone got any ideas on a amp i should get for mids? i want like a 2-300 watt amp and thats it..

those type Es sound pretty clean even off of 300 or 400 watts

 

yeah I know, I used to run 2 12's off a 600 watt monoblock Xtant amp and it was clean. He stated that his E's "pounded" off a 220 watt sony amp which i doubt

 

sounds like it would bump.... but yea, for free i guess it aint bad....works right? ive got a jl 250/1 im selling. works perfect and its a monoblock for those CRAZY LOUD SPL systems!
