I now have an srt-4 with 2 Comp Vr subs. They are sealed. I was thinking about putting them in ported box but some people were saying that it wouldnt sound good becuase they shude be seal who knows.

Was thinking about upgrading to either 1 Solobaric 12" L7 or 2 Solobaric 12" l5's(fit questionable) anyone know which would be louder assuming that both are ported and i am running a hifonics 1000 watt amp.

2 12" l7 a little too expensive and would underpower them

Even would consider a 15" L7 if it would fit but i dunno if it could

if you do it right ported. prolly 1 sub with 1000 watts would be better than 2 on it. That is unless you plan on getting another...

 

I'd personally go with the single 15 L7, sealed.

 

the 15 is the best sound solobaric, either the l7 or the l5 the only difference, is that the l5 requires less power, but has a weaker polymer cone (i think polopropalene is the right word for it) none the less, 2 cvr12s will smack with bass and sound better than the 15's *mind you not louder* but sound better, the solobaric series is more of a burp spl speaker. I know kicker subs like i know the back of my hand, a ported box with cvrs will sound deeper and more bass'ier and the cone excursion wont sound as tight as they do now. but a s15l5 will sound good with less power, and it will sound better in a ported box, my bro had 2 s15l7's in his frontier with a 1200.1 and that bitch was fucking loud, now he has 12 10" comp vrs with 3 500.1 rockford amps. just remember they are kickers, they dont necesarily need rms to sound good.
