ok, i made a post a while ago about my friends subwoofers, the bass hits for no reason when the music is off, everyone said it was the rca wires and she still hasnt had time to stop and get some, so she went today and the guy at best buy told her that the subs are about to blow and and that is how u can tell they are going too..i have no idea how to fix/what to fix...anyone know how to fix it?

 

ive never heard of subs doing that i think the best buy guy was just trying to get her to buy some new shit

 

yeah, thats what happened to my old eclipse. id shut off the music and it woudl keep playing

oh wait no its not, the surround glue let go, the voice coil melted and the ohm molad dropped to .00002 and caused my amp to catch on fire!

fuck no, I dont even talk about audio around girls. I get a little too in depth in my own head sometimes. Itd be the equivalent of star trek nerds battling over kirk vs picard. That and I dont want to hear the story about thier "friend who has 2 thumpers in the back of thier car, and its the loudest thing theyve ever heard, and cant understand why i would want it" or "can you put in a cd player" so I just say I play hockey.
