yeah but the discounts suck. best buy has good discounts but the people that work there are jackasses in general. better off using ebay, thats what i usually end up doing.

aww poor jesse dont be jealous of my new job nah i know u hate sales but its my first car audio job so i cant help but be psyched

afboy how long did u work there for? any sales strategies u wanna hook me up with? lol

I use to work at CC and got about 60% off car audio...this was a couple years ago though...when they paid commission. The best sales strategy that worked for me was to know your shit and sell from the heart. Don't push items you don't believe in just because they cost more. Customers also love little insider tips.

yes sell from the heart, not try to sell the biggest $$ item. U dont get commission so who cares. yeah sure if u sell over quote the managers love you but who cares. But if u really wanna impress the managers and the store, sell city advantage on everything u possably can and push high dollar shit. Some times ill go in work not even caring and some days ill go in trying to compete with fellow co workers and braggin to the managers when I sell high dollar or city advantage. And thats about it. Oh and the thing I found myself in a bind is when people asked about radar detectors, alarms, or navagation. I didnt know nething so i was like uhhh lemme get someone else

Show the customer the value of the product. That's the best "sales" tip I can give you. Not just telling them the difference between two head units but actually showing them why it will change their listening expierience.

I know it sounds cheesy but it worked for me I was the 2nd sales counselor in the southeast region for a few quarters for home audio/video. Of course that was when we were on commision so I had some incentive

kk thanks everyone. yeah afboy i dont know shit about alarms or navigation either. i know a little about radar.

this guy came in today saying pioneer was better than alpine, then he goes on to tell me and the other sales guy lance that MA audio is just as good as both of them. i had to walk away and laughingly tell the asst manager who is really cool. the mgr came back 2 min later and asked me and lance "do you have any aiwa amps, i heard those slam" the people never ended up buying anything, i wonder why.

and to u prospective circuit city customers who read this, no were not assholes, but if u dont know what ur talkin about, admit it. its as easy as that. cuz if u try and tell anyone who knows anything about car audio that MA audio is as good as alpine, ill bet u theyll laugh right in ur face lol.

lol, and the bad thing is u cant like argue with the customer. At my store the customer was always right. So even though i hated audiobahn, i still told the customer they are good when they asked. And theyd go on about how they had their amps and bla bla into some story and i jus nod and laugh. Ha i loved it
