i won't to build a speaker box for my home stereo what meterial would i use

3/4" to 1"MDF... Lots of Liquid Nails Adhesive when screwing it together to seal the box and help it hold toether well.

You could get away with 1/2 inch mdf for smaller speakers, and anyhitng with a fairly low resonance is a benefit, youc oudl build it fomr playwood if youw anted and braced the fuck out of it...
