Fuses or what?

Im an engine kinda guy, when it comes to audio, im clueless...

i went to the mall and took off my face plate...i came back out, put my face plate back on, and nothing happened...no power, wouldn't even eject the cd...what the hell is goin on?! a fuse? i checked the one on the head unit...it was fine...my taillight fuse blew later that night, and my dome light/door ajar ring has been blown for a few months (too lazy to repair that one) do i just need to rewire my entire car? what could be causing all this other shit to blow? thanks

You definately have a short somewhere, check all of your fuses and have them ALL replaced, not just the ones you feel like are important.

Get a test light and check the 12V wire going to the radio and the remote wire. It's most likely not getting power @ all through the 12V because it will not even eject, so yea.. check all your fuses.

check the harness pluged into the back of the cd player.. You might not of put it on tight enough... If your an engine guy you know to check the mosk likely source... Or the cd player might of shorted out if you have it ran off your taillight and burnt up something. Where is the power for the head comming from?

pull out your head unit and check all the wiring in the back. make sure they are soldered to the stock wiring good.

most people use a harness.

this happened to me and after I got it checked out, it turned out to be a bad accessory wire. Got another harness and it was fine
