Day 1 of project ballzer

my goal is to still have this vehicle be as functional as it was when i got it, so it turns out that I'm not gonna be able to put 2 12's where I wanted, and cant lose that much cargo area to move them elsewhere, so I'm just gonna go with 1 12.. idmax or w6 havent decided.

Yes miles I know, IDMAX

Well, back to the matter at hand.

Here is where I'm building the box, I should be able to squeeze out 1 to 1.25 cubes here.

but how to make the base?

Easy!

Make a template!!!

Intead of just using a whole sheet of carboard and just doing the guess and check and swear and throw it out method, I deicded to go the simpler way.

1. find old cardboard box. this one is for my shopvac, but any carboard will do... even posterboard!! or a mainlla envelope!

2. cut strips at a time. cause it sure as hell uses less cardboard and less time.

3. glue strips togethers how you want the base/template/whateverthefuck you want to look

4. curse at glue for sticking your finger to your pants!

edit* you can also see my amp! whee 500/1 !!!

thats prolly gonna be my weak ass amp rack.

Now staple that motherfucker to the material of your choice, MDF, hardboard, pine, oak, plywood, felt, whatever, and trace the beeyotch

I was lucky and had a scrap piece of mdf lying aournd that this fit on.

*edit- look out for your feet too :) they dont look good in pictures

now pull the staples out, and youve got yourself a mdf template of your area. Now, what you shoudl do, is cut even strips out so you dont have to do line of best fit because they are uneven.

Now its time to cut it out!!

heres where my cordless circular saw battery died :(

so imagine it cut out :)

Stay tuned! there will be much more to come.
