Does your profec hold the same boost in each gear? if its set at 15 does it stay rock solid 15 in 2nd 3rd 4th 5th??
Got a friend with a 3rd gen RX-7 and an AVC-R who is having the same problems I was back with the HAMMER with an AVC-R... it seems to creep like .3 or so BAR every gear... the only temporary remedy i can think of is to do what i did with the hammer... set boost in 4th gear...
That way in most street racing ... 2nd - 4th gears... you dont have to worry about blowing yourself up although u take a power hit in the 2nd and 3rd.. and in 5th u just let a lil off the throttle to maintain proper boost...
But anyhow, if any AVC-R owners have an answer that is great..
Back to the origional post tho... With the profec B? do you creep as u go into higher gears?

shit i got teh profec b on my sr20 and 3rd is the only time i lose boost! i dynoed it and 3rd gear, three times lost boost. I drove it around and still did it and banged every other gear but ever lost boost execpt for one. don't know why. I've asked alot of peeps and no one has a solid answer.

if you look at the back of the profec b there are 4 little switches. you move them into a certain sequence whether you have an internal or external wastegate and it will prevent overboost.(look in you manuel for that) also are you running an external wastegate? if so and it is a deltagate that could be it, they are known to creep at redline.
and SR240SE, what boost are you running, with the stock t25 your boost will hold around 15psi till close to redline then fall till around 12 or so. is this true in your car?

i'll look for the switches in the back. right now my wastegate is internal until i upgrade soon. i don't think you can use a external wastegate on a stock turbo.?? every other gear it holds 15 execpt for third gear. i dynoed it at glens at hybrid performance but i thought the internal wastegate creeps out the boost from 15. i dunno hopefully i can figure this out thanks. yeah i am running 15 sometimes 12 to be on the face side.

i know you have an internal wastegate i was reffering to the rx-7 for that. if you are creeping past 15 on a t25 and a profec, the only other thing it i can think of is it could be if you were running open downpipe.

i dunno i'll have to ask the kid agian, but i rode in the car and it creeps in the higher gears.. so far weve just been letting slightly off the gas or decreasing the solenoid %

also Chronic... My 300zx did see as much as 20 pounds in 2nd gear... if i had the solenoid % at a level where i was 1.00 bar in 4th.. it would be .92 bar in 3rd and about .86 in 2nd and 1.11 in 5th ( i didnt keep it that way for long) if i set it in 2nd gear for 1.0 bar.. it'd be 1.05 in 3rd and 1.15 in 4th!!!! i didnt try 5th like that..

i seem to lose a pound between 3rd -5th. if I set it at 11psi in fith I only get 10psi in third. If i have it set at 11psi in 3rd. I get 12psi in fifth. i don't know
