Ever get pulled over cause you drive an older civic?

I got pulled over last night just pulling out of my street (within a minute).

First words out of the officers mouth was "Is this your car"

Seriously?

I gave him my paperwork and proof of ownership and what not.

Then he says my tag lights are out. I jump back (since I work at a dealer and make sure my car is in "legal" shape) and say I just replaced them and theres no way they are out.

He just gives me back my papers and tells me to fix my stuff and goes away.

I get out after he drives off and notice sure enough my tag lights are working....What a douche bag.

Anything happen to anyone else similar?

 

i bought my 95 civic, and didnt drive it for a while because my BF was fixing a few things wrong with it, but when i finally did, i got pulled over 7 times in 1 month, and 2 of those times were in one day. So yeah when cops see an older civic they feel the need to pull them over for stupid shit

 

If it helps find stolen cars then I don't care that they do it. I'm sure it didn't take up much of your time and you didn't get ticketed for anything.

 

i was actually late to work on one of the stops, the rest i didnt care for, i wasnt ticketed

yeah dont complain about them checking if the car is stolen. at least they are trying a little i guess

 

I got pulled over cuz i have a sticker on my back hatch that says I <3 Cops
And i got pulled over and he goes is that sticker supposed to be funny ? Im like no its not... And he walks away and gets in his car and drives off... WTF?

 

I would have sad yes, and I always carry a supply of printed Jimmy Jones U MAD pictures to hand out. So when i get pulled over I make a stupid remark and hand them one and ask them "you mad?" I asked a cop why he was so butt hurt because I was speeding? I was pulled out of the car and searched. WTF right I didnt do anything wrong. THey are just assholes to Honda owners lol

 

I got pulled over once and the cop is like license and registration...I go for what...he's like do you have any idea how fast you took that turn...and I go, um 30...and he's like no I clocked you at 61mph...(with a shocked look on my face) I say, I don't think a F1 car can take that corner at 30mph. He stepped back and accuses me of calling him a liar. I then simply go no sir I just don't think your radar is up to par and I would like your business card along with your badge number. He gives me the info and leaves lol. I called his supervisor and filed a formal complaint on him. Supervisor tells me I wasn't the first person to do that in the last month lol
