Someone owns this...

And...is bored?

This project is just a fun little thing I am putting together. I am taking my time on it so updates won't be done everyday. I want them to turn out very nice and last a long time because I will be selling them. Enjoy

I dropped off the sheet metal for the vacuum plenum 2 days ago to get cut. I will be picking up the metal today. I am building a plenum that uses the idle air control valve, map sensor, and IAT sensor plus has output for the brake booster. The plenum will be about 7 inches in length and 2 inches square. I will be welding the box up within the next day or two and will post pictures of the completed plenum in a few days.

The flange is off a LS motor. Runner length will be 14" from valve face to tip of velocity stacks. Equal lengths on all 4 cylinders. Diameter of piping will be 1.75". Injector location will be stock location for the ITB's and NOT the stock honda location. These will be tested on my car and once all bugs worked out they will be sold as an entire unit.

Below is where I had to plug the old IACV system for the bike. 1/8" NPT plugs and a tap worked perfectly. In the first post, first picture, you can see the black nipples sticking out on the left and the metal ones on the right...those were removed and the plugs went where those were.



Below is the mounting plate for the velocity stacks. I had to cut it off the stock bike air box or the velocity stacks wouldn't tighten down completely.



If anyone knows a place locally to get 1.75" aluminum piping let me know. I need to pick up about 3-4 feet of it. I will post pictures of the fuel delivery setup once I obtain a set of injectors.

Stock B-series injectors fitting into the stock itb injector location and into the stock bike's fuel rail.

Wow thats nice. Most people dont dare screw with the bikes injectors. Good to see you got them in there. Really you should just buy an intake mani flange, instead of using a factory one and having to now plug the injector holes.

I was going to have them welded when the welder does my runners...where can I get a factory flange at a good price? Trying to keep the price down because I'm just going to be turning around and selling these as soon as they are done. I'm only building them for the experience of it.

Also, those are the factory honda CAR injectors in the factory BIKE injector holes. That factory fuel rail even worked and upon research, the bike fuel rail pressure is 50psi which is plenty for the honda fuel system. I am going to have a custom fuel line built to run from the rail to a fuel pressure regulator. This would be a returnless system so it would have to be hooked up like a K series swap.

The company on the second link has good prices but the problem is that they don't offer aluminum flanges for the intake side. Only steel. I would have to connect the ITB's with couplers then instead of having them welded to the runners. It will be less sturdy then.

Welding the ITBs to the runners is a worse option than using hose couplers. The heat from welding can warp the ITBs, causing all sorts of problems.

It's called cold welding...not to mention if you run continuous water across the throttle bodies themselves they will never heat up enough to warp...and don't forget that the throttle body still reaches pretty good temperatures on a stock vehicle with the coolant lines still attached to it and it still doesn't warp.
