Default What would you do? Rebuilt or Crate?

Recently i had the bottom end go on my 93 4dr civic. I am lost in thought between buying a rebuilt engine or to go new with a crate engine. It was nothing fancy, a daily driver, with a 1.5 sohc/auto transmission. Also if anyone knows of a good shop that sells either as well as installs engines with a warranty that would be greatly appreciated, as i have no time to install the engine myself. Hit me up with a PM with any details about shops and or engines. Thanks in advance.

When you get the engine, get back with me. I can do the install.

If you have the money, go with a crate engine. Buy it yourself so the warranty will be in your name. If buying rebuilt, there is a lot that can go wrong, which may not be the fault of the rebuilder.-Bob

Hit up Hmotorsonline I've never heard of any one having problems and I have personally always had a great experience. They offer a start up warranty on all their motors and sensors on the motors. They keep pretty much every motor in stock as well. Then hit up whoever you are comfortable with to do the install. With Hmotors it can be shipped to your house or the business doing the swap.

this answer is simple If you got "money to blow" like drake and weezy then you get a crate motor, if your on a budget you rebuild.

Hmotorsonline is great!
tigerjapanese is also good!

i've gotten motors from both places and didnt have any major problems.

rebuild is waaaaay cheaper and if done right its just as good as a crate motor which is just a really good rebuild
