pick up a E3 16g on ebay for less than 300 WITH the install kit included. I have ran both a genuine MHI e3 and an ebay e3 and the only difference i noticed was a little bit slower spool on the ebay turbo. I had an ebay e3 16g on my 2g for 1 and a hlaf years and still had NO shaft play. id look into it

hell even a well known dsm vender is now selling ebay 16gs because of how they are holding up

It's alot easier to knock off a BOV than a turbo, IMO. I would run an ebay type-s.
Ok, maybe 9 out of 10 is an exaggeration. But most of the threads I've seen on dsmtalk/tuners about ebay turbos read the same. If the compressor doesn't eat itself and it doesn't start burning oil immediately after start up, then you got lucky, but only for about a year.
OP, sorry for jacking your thread, gl with finding a turbo!
