Motor runs, trans grinds a little going into 2nd only.

I bought a car with this motor & trans in it, I was told that it was gonna be used as a drift car. I didn't get much info other than that. I don't know if the motor has had some work done to it or if it's all stock.
I believe the motor was an OBD1 engine but the car has an OBD2 computer. I don't know if it was converted to OBD2 or what the deal is. Car pulls hard but it's not getting the gas mileage I'm looking for.
The motor & trans are both still in the car and can be heard & seen. I'm wanting to get just a basic, stock engine that will give me good gas mileage to work & back.

ill trade my 90 civic si for the hatch problem solved my car get 30-35 mpg

 

I really don't care for that body style but you have any pics?

 

if you want to just swap motors i have a complete d16y7 motor that will drop into your car if you want to trade then you get 30-34Mpg
