WTS: 1999 Ford Taurus- Cheap, reliable, great on gas Daytona
Ok, picked up another car so the "extra" has to go... I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere or any distance.... Here are the specs:
1999 Ford Taurus SE with Center console (alot of tauruses are column shift with bench seats... not this one)
Black with Grey Cloth interior- No rips in the interior, although it could use some more shampooing to look as new)
V6- 3.0
114k on the clock. (113,9xx actually, but hey..)
All power options- windows, locks, cruise, keyless, etc.
Almost all smog/egr components replaced as I have been trying to chase down a P1401 code... I replaced the EGR Valve, controller, all vacuum lines
Brand new (less than 200 miles on them) Front brakes and Rotors
Good rubber all the way around
Complete system flush/fill of all fluids at 93k
Tinted- Although the rear window tint is a little hazy...
I get 25mpg regularly.. no complaints there..
3 owners I think.. the previous owner has owned it since 2002, and used it as his daily. He was a mechanic by trade, and did all regular maintenance.. and it shows.
Big enough to haul 5 and their luggage comfortably!
Known issues:
Ac compressor is bad- the compressor costs $100, you can buy compressor and all new lines for $200 (ebay). I was going to replace them, but I am just not having enough time right now.
Still throws the P1401 code- NO running issue at all, but lights annoy me
Power mirrors sometimes work, sometimes not.. not a big deal if you don;t adjust them alot...
Paint is 8 years old.. she is a good 5 footer, but has miscellaneous scratches and a few small dings.
No other issues that would prevent this from being a reliable DD, as that is what I used it for as well..
This car is not being used (new car was Xmas gift) as such, it is being stored in my office warehouse. I just had a local kid do a buff on the outside, so she looks pretty good as is.. so mileage will not change, nor will it be used until sold.
Looking for a pretty firm 2k as she sits, 2500 with the Ac fixed.
Please email me for quickest response..
