where you located? the is a salvage yard off of 40th street in tampa called ACE thay should have what you need there. also off othe causeway and 50th street there is LKQ formerly COPHERS should have accords of your year there. you are ok to run it like that but for personal preference i guess you want it on. a lot of guys (b series) who have aftermarket cam gears to fine tune their motors actually cut their valve covers to expose the cam gears to make adjusments while on the dyno. it is not really recomended buy you will be fine. a good tuner will have a pre-cut valve cover to put on so adjustments can be made then upon completion of the tune put back on you stock one as there should be no more need for adjustments unless going back for more tuning. good luck in finding what you need.
