1997 Nissan 240sx SE (KA-T)
Up for sale is my car. I've spent almost 6 years with it, time to get my 1st new car and take a break from spending all my time in cars for a while.
Basics:
-157,xxx miles (I have owned it since 57,405 miles & December 20, 2001. It was stock until about 110,000 miles)
-Super Black exterior over Black/Charcoal Gray.
-5 speed, No ABS.
-Power moonroof.
Modifications:
Exterior-
-OEM front chin spoiler
-Custom black housing headlights, front signals, and corner lights
*One corner light is broken on the mounting. I am ordering new ones.
-Base model trunk lid with no wing. Flat-black painted.
*I still have the stock trunk with spoiler holes, but I sold the spoiler. Will include unless it is sold separately.
-Shaved emblems.
*Body is basically perfect. There is 2 or 3 dings in the doors, barely noticable. Obviously the trunk is flat black painted, not great. The passenger front fender has some clearcoat missing behind the wheel well, and the roof's paint is slowly getting some oxidation/discoloring, but I hope to hit it with a Claybar and see if it helps. Front bumper has usual chips and etc.
*Car has never been wrecked, front bumper was repainted 5 years ago when a shop backed into it during a clutch job.
*Fender lips are rolled.
Interior-
-Garrett Boost gauge and Autometer Oil Pressure gauge, in A-pillar pod
-Leather shift boot
-PLX M-300 wideband o2 sensor, display is in glove box. *Acts as primary o2 sensor as well, analog signal sent to ECU.
*Car has a "wire tuck" on it. I didn't do the best of jobs, but it works fine. The engine bay relay/fuse box is behind the passenger seat, and the carpet is cut up a little. The cruise control and horn do not work, but i have all the parts to put them back in. The car just needs a new front harness and dash harness. Other small things do not work, such as some dash lights i pulled since they were not used, but everything could be hooked back up if so desired (its stupid stuff like seat belt light, door ajar, brake fluid level, front sidemarkers, easy stuff) Airbags disabled, passenger one was removed, but have all harness and such to put back in.
Suspension-

*Alignment done August 2007.
Brakes-
-300zx 26mm front calipers with OE 300zx rotors
-Speed Bleeders all around.
-stainless steel brake lines all around.
-axxis pads up front, oe in rear.
*rear calipers are new as of jan '07, as well as new driver's side wheel bearing. fluid was flushed with new at same time.
Wheels/Tires-
-5zigen fn01r-c wheels in hyper black with custom "time attack" red lip.
front - 17x9" +15mm offset
rear - 17x10" +12mm offset
-bfg t/a kdw front tires in 225/45-17
-kuhmo ecsta 711 rear tires in 255/40-17
Drivetrain-
-stainless steel clutch line, removed damper loop
-fidanza flywheel, 11lbs
-rps max street clutch, full disc, feels like stock (pedal is a little firmer), rated to 400 tq.
-j30 vlsd with 5 bolt axles.
-spl parts polyurethane transmission mount
-jgs tools rubber engine mounts. minimal vibrations, no engine movement.
Engine-
-original KA24DE engine. only things ever opened on it were valve cover for gasket, and oil pan when adding oil return.
-stainless oil feed line, -3an
-silicone oil return line to oil pan, -10an
*compression still perfect, burns very little oil, mostly from older valve stem seals. turbo burns no oil.
*FUNCTIONING A/C AND POWER STEERING!
Fuel and Ignition-
-walbro 255lph fuel pump, hardwired with relay mod
-z32 fuel filter
-deatschwerks 600cc injectors
-westco miata battery, relocated to trunk
-new cap and rotor - August 2007
-ngk 7mm plug wires
-ngk bkr6e plugs, gapped to .028"
-z32 maf sensor, new pigtail
-enthalpy ecu with adapter harness, basemap runs perfect for cruising, safe for boosting. speed limiter removed, 7000RPM redline.
cooling-
-no thermostat
-stock fans and shroud
-no overheating problems
intake-
-3" intake pipe, AEM filter
*could use some fender liners, can get wet in the worst of storms, mostly ok though. (it will cause mafs to get weird readings and car bucks and gets uber rich, not a big problem, just space constraints caused only one spot for the filter really)
-2.5" intercooler piping
-hks ssqv version 2 bov (bought august 2007), vented to atmosphere, no stalling problems
-precision front mount intercooler, smaller core, works awesome.
-silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps everywhere. never blown an IC pipe.
-intake manifold has emissions stripped off and other misc items.
*boost leak tested in july 2007. no audible leaks at the time.
exhaust-
-jgs tools log manifold
-tial 35mm wastegate, .9 bar spring (14psi - gauge holds 15, no spikes)
-jgs wastegate dump pipe
-garrett t3/to4e turbo, 50 trim, .63 a/r 5 bolt housing, rebuilt april 2007
*full boost by ~3500 rpm, holds til 7000 redline
-jgs 2.5" downpipe
-megan 3" SR style downpipe with flex section
-project nissan 3" resonated test pipe
-RS*R ExMag 3" exhaust. black satin coated, 3" polished tip. looks stock, great sound.
The car runs great, easily daily driven, gas mileage is between 18-25mpg depending on how heavy your foot is. might get even more on longer trips.
A/C was recharged in July 2007, and blows icy cold.
Other than a few items, the car is perfect. I wish I could keep it and continue to make it even nicer, but times call for change.
I'm letting this go for a steal at $8500 or best offer right now. I will have pictures up soon as I get them, and will add other things as I remember them. Anyone who knows me, knows I treat the car well.
