Gun black spokes with a chorme lip.....these are absofuckinluty BEAUTIFUL as soon as i get my car back in shape im buying these exact same rims......

Offset is relative to the wheel centerline. So wider wheels require more offset. 40mm would look fine.... on a 9" wide wheel.

This car has 40mm offset, however it also has a 9" wide wheel. I did some quick calculations, Imagine this car, with its wheels sunk in an inch and thats how crappy your 240 will look with your wheels.





This guy thought FWD rims would fit his RWD car aswell:

 

so your comparing a 300zx to a 240 with 40 mm offset on both...........they are 2 different cars....

 

I guarantee you 17x7 +40 looks bad on a 240sx.
