serious problem with tranny. hoda pros help out.
i got a 92 civic and there is something way wrong. its 5speed by the way. well i was driving today and i put it into 5th and when i went to down shift the son of a bitch wouldnt go out. well i ended up sitting at the light like an idiot until i finally yanked the bitch out. then it wouldnt go into any gear at all. well i finally got it to go and it seemed fine. then i went to put it in reverse and it doesnt even go in. i got the clutch put in all the way and everything. so what the hell? oh yeah for some time the car has been throwing itself out of gear and sometimes when im in first and get on it, it makes a whistling noise like its supercharged or something. what could be the problem? i need this solved asap cuz im selling my car next week. so if anyone knows help me out. thanx.

It sounds like your bearings may be shot. If the bearings fail on the countershaft or mainshaft, the stacks tend to move around and the alignments go all outta wack.

samething happened to my car, but with mine the clutch fell apart inside in the tranny.

You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it.
