Oh yeah, this honda puts down close to 400hp at the wheels and has done so for quite some time. How much is your "POS DSM" putting out again?

Now to answer the question, I would run the Mobil 1 15w 50 now that your motor has some miles on it. If you notice no change in oil consumption, then stick with it. We've used the 10w30 Mobil 1 and found it to be too thin, causing occasional smoking from the turbo. I personally don't think you need synthetic but if it makes you sleep easier at night, go for it man
ouch....
knocked the fuck out!

Wow....I need to use a smilie...I was just being sarcastic.

Just so you know..my pos dsm is putting down 0hp. Currrently it does not run. Which seems to be a common problem for dsms.

when I posted that remark jeff (cronic) was here and was telling me that synthetic oil will mess up your cams/cam. Or which is what the cam munufacturs say. (could not find any written proof on this in 5 min.)

Just a side note that may be worth while.
When is the most wear and tear done on a engine? At a cold start up.

So in theory you would want the thinnest oil possibile at start up to fully circulate on a cold engine. But yet still have a thick consistancy on a warm engine. Which I think 10w 30 will do..

Either oil should be ok.....I'm assuming since you have around 400hp that you do have some sort of aftermarket cam in there..just check it out and see what the manufacture has to says about synthetic oil.
