Default She runs on her own now

Well today me and my bro pumped the rest of the water out of the tank, she ran decent for 6-7 cylinders This week i'm going to pick up some valve stem seals, a master cylidner, and 4 brake cylinders for the 4-wheel drums BTW if you guys dont remember what car It s a 1968 Camaro implanted with a 1964 Chevelle SS 327 Once the seals are in and misc. gaskets are in place, Its time for body prep and interior refabrication, if you guys want some pics i'll post some up. She's in the process, but any real mechanic/car enthusiast shall see the potential.

Since these pics have been taken MSD 8MM Plug wires, a Holley Fuel Pump, a new Puralator fuel filter and lines have been added. We aslo cleaned up the valve covers a bit. The floor pans and trunk pan need to be welded in. We also have all the Rally Wheels with the Caps in the back porch. Just needed some rubber that holds air to roll around on.
What ya'll think?

She's beat to death, but it's good to see someone fixing her up instead of junking her. As a 1st gen owner, I can only try to express to you how much fun these cars are. The 327 is no joke either, and with the right cam, holds a LOT of potential. Luckily, these cars are light enough to be able to stand losing all of that low-end torque in lieu of high RPM 327 horsepower.

If I were you, I'd pull that motor out for the weekend, do a full gasket kit on it, and while it's out, paint that engine compartment.

Well, here are the plans. The 327 is getting valve stem seals so its running on all 8, header gaskets, a carb rebuild and new springs and lifters. The 327 is only going to be used to move the car around while we do body work and interior. Eventually the 350 Vortec sitting on a stand in the garage is gonna get a cam, lifters and springs. That will be plopped in while funds tend to gather up and everything is done. Now, i know some will be skeptical but, me and my bro have been talking about slapping two turbos on the 350 after it is built and switched to EFI. Yea, I know don't run that cam with turbos, no overlap is wanted, i know, all my friends drive hondas I sorta wanna build the 327 for top-end haul-ass-ness lol but we'll see nothing is set in stone as of right now. The turbo ish would be awhile down the road if it happened. If any of you guys go out to the wendys on friday, once we get it running right and looking better me and my bro won't hesitate to come up there.
