10psi and a turbo 240
Comming back from Ruby Tuesday's with the boss, goin up Lumsden tward 301.. I hear the release of pressure... I scoot across the intersection to pull behind him, it's a slight beater, great looking exhaust, Chrome, had to be pretty new, almost no wear to it, prolly GReddy from the looks. I hear again. Downshift pull beside... blow off, I see him look at me and I gun it. Getting the jump from the start, I look in my rearview, he guns it but it's too late for him, shifting into third but IT WONT GO IN, god DAMNED DX tranny. Finally I make the shift work. Slam the gas down and my boost spikes to almost a full bar, I pull another car on him by the time I shut it down because of traffic.... I let him get ahead so I can get in my turn lane, and he throws on his flashers... wtf? He pulls beside me, large fellow. Prolly low-mid 300lbs. He said: "Im a little heavy right now." My boss laughed. I asked how much boost he was running, and he shruged, "about 20psi." I KNEW that wasn't possible, there's no way a 20psi SR motor would've come anywhere near losing to my single cam. He asked what motor I had. I told him. He offered to run me Tuesday night at Checkers, I may show up, but w/o a rev limiter and tuning, I don't have an interest.

I got a white 240 you can run
![]() ![]() hopefully it won't rain tomorrow so the races will be on! Was the 240 a s14 chassis, green with a white hood??? I believe he is on a stock turbo. Must be something wrong with his car if he has all the right toys for the stock motor. Should of kept up and maybe more!Drew |
