Newer NSX get's stomped!!!!
I was on Tampa RD. and a younger guy in a newer white NSX starts downshifting on me and looking over. He had a custom plate that was supposed to read "slipping bye", the only thing slipping was $1000 out of his wallet for his next car payment. Anyways I pull up next to him and rev it and let him get the move from a second gear roll, I hit it and began to pull instantly and let off without going into the next gear. So he gets beside me again from a 70mph roll, I guess he thinks his exotic is gonna pull me up top, nope. I let him go again and this time it was worse, I pulled him easily thru 1 gear and let off again. This race wasnt even close, total obliteration!!!! Is that the best that Japan will send over??? The styling is nice and I'm sure it handles and brakes nicely, but it just has no balls....

the 97' nsx that you are talking about was recently bought and is completely stock trust me most everyone that owns an NSX knows they lack power for their class and price but when you read the magazines etc. most times the NSX doesn't do to well in the acceeration, 0-60 etc even though it's fair. But most of the magazine editor's say if they could leave with one of the cars they tested it would be the NSX. The problem goes back to the Japanese "secret hand shake" never to have a horse power war, hense the reason you'll not see a Japanese car with over 300 horse (there may be 1 exception) and the way the Japanese meassure horsepower is slightly different than here. But with Ferrari,Viper, ZO6,Porsche,Lotus,Bmw etc.increaseing the horses honda and others are gonna soon have to change anyway good kill on a stock NSX but price aside i'd like to see a NA V6 from america with those number of an NSX Last edited by smoore : 05-20-2003 at 02:53 AM. |
