so we go take pix after the jdmd/jdmups meet tonight at the 2 story target on dale mabry. after that we decide we want some ihop and b4 i hop in my car my friend rick says hed let me drive his s2k if i let him drive my beater. so naturally i jump at the chance since ive never driven one before. i must say its quite the experience. anyway onto the story...
so were headin north on dale mabry just messin around and this red widebody nsx comes rollin by. rick gives chase in my car and i get caught behind some little lady in a van goin slow so i cant follow in the s2k. anyway i catch them talkin at the next light and the story goes like this. the dude in the nsx takes off so rick drops it in 3rd at around 45. THEYRE DEAD EVEN till about 110 where the nsx starts to creep. only told mods of the nsx were a tune and the widebody kit. all in all im kinda upset that i wasnt driving bc i coulda dropped it into 2nd n maybe pulled a little b4 being pulled on. but still its an NSX!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was happy to hear the end result n the driver of the nsx gave rick (and me) props for a good run. lol anyway it made my night so i figured id share. lol its not everyday you get the chance to play with hondas supercar. i just wish i were driving! just thought id share....

i dont know if id run quite a 13.4 but it was a roll race so its hard to tell. guess one day ill have to take it to the track n see what i can get it to run. but um.... not bad for a 5000 dollar honda keeping up with a 80000 dollar nsx if i dont say so myself! lmao.

Actually, the 1/4 depends on the year. Did the NSX have pop up headlights or fixed headlights? The 5-speed 3 liter NA1s run low 14s, the 6 speed 3.2 liter NA2s (with 30 more hp) run the 13s mentioned above.
You've also got to remember, its still just a V6, and the owner was clearly a big money ricer if all he did was a wide-body. NSX Supercharger = 380 wheel with an absolutely flat power curve, Stage 1 single turbo = 490ish wheel, Stage 1 twin turbo = 550ish wheel, that's Porsche GT2 territory for a third the price . Stage 3 twin or single dual scroll = 660+ whp

the slowest nsx runs 14.0 which is the same as the s2000 but the nsx has more top end....so i think the nsx needed a driver mod cause unless you have new mods you already lost to a stock s2000...
but either way great kill and i bet you loved driving that s2k! |

according to the driver it was a "tuned" 01 nsx. rick could tell by the headlights. i never got a good look at them. so yes he did have some money with the tune and the widebody kit. and although i did lose to an s2k with a test pipe by a fender/door or whatever, i did pull on one with intake n exhaust (it was actually the same car i drove).
but yes, driving that s2k was like driving my car power wise, except with a 6 speed and it would turn on a dime. myne revs higher tho!!!
