All Motor Slowness....

so ya went out to the local parking lot and ended up racing a stage 2 cobalt SS from a 20 roll...

20 roll, 3rd honk i jump out about a half car and hold it till top of 2nd gear, hit 3rd and he pulls it back, then proceeded to pull about a half car on me by the top of 3rd. and i let out do to a red light ahead. good run super cool guy

then we decide to track out to tampa and meet up at the causeway after some driving around and multiple pit stops. and i get set-up to race some EK coupe with what i was told to be a sleeved lsVTAK with an SC-61 on 20+ PSI, we agree on a dig run.

so we line up, i bring the RPM's up and wait for the honk and never hear it and he takes off so i give chase... I spun through first as he begins to put a couple cars on me since i left late, hit 2nd and continue to spin, finally get some traction and the car just bogs for some strange ass reason so ya i lost badly on that race....

we make the U-turn to come back and he asked if i wanted to do a roll, which i quickly declined, agree on another dig due to the fact i never heard him honk it off the first time... so we line up and 3 honks and we go... i jump out about a half car almost imediatley(sp?) me spinning through 1st again, hit 2nd and pull another half car or so, and by the top of 2nd he started pulling back, 3rd he pulls about a car out, hit 4th and he pulled another half car and i let out almost at the top of 4th...

so heres the cliff notes....

ALL MOTOR SLOWNESS- 0
Stg. 2 cobalt SS- 1
built turbo 20+psi civic- 2

all in all bad night for me, but my car is slow and i know it so its all good

Man, that was a lot of driving around last night. And it looks like I've got some more gremlins to work out. My damn car is only making about 8 pounds of boost now. I suppose that's why I got beat up so bad by that guy you raced. I checked the vacuum lines, changed ths plugs, swapped out the vtec solenoid and it still falls on its face. I'm going to take apart the wastegate later and see if something is hanging it open. With my luck the motor is probably eating itself.
