97 Z28 v. Brave teg

Well, short story, but it was gratifying at least.

Rolling down park blvd I see the headlights of a teg in the mirror hoping to god he wants to play because I hadn't raced anyone for a long time. I was cruisin' in mom's z28, btw.

So he comes up next to me and starts accelerating slowly form the gear he's in. As we're pacing each other from 50 to 60mph he downshifts and nails it at around 60, I just reem on the pedal and the 4l60 decides 2nd is the best gear for that speed .. I couldn't agree more, the z pulls hard and puts about 4 car lengths on the teg from 60-75mph and I figured I didn't want to speed too much and figured the race had been decided so I let off, as did he.

Thanks for the little bit of excitement and the bravery for probably knowing the beating he was about to take, good run!

In hinesight it was a pretty bad beating .. I got up to 80 tops and had 4 or 5 cars on him.
