04 Maserati
heading south on DM i saw a set of HID's behind me. ended up being a brand new maserati. we hit a light a little bit up the road and he pulls up next to me and asks me the notorious question "what kinda of turbo is that?", i answer with "a big one"...even tho its really not, but most people have no idea what im talking about if i actually say what it is. anyways, light turns green and were both behind a few cars. finally a little later on the road opens up and he steps on it in first then lets off, i catch up to him and leave it in 2nd doing about 30 and then he steps on it again and i do the same a second later. he instantly pulled a car or so on me(like pretty much everyone else would below 60mph, and yes that includes your mom's minivan) as i lit up the tires thru 2nd, then i go into third and not a whole lot changes but instead of spinnin im kinda skirtin now
and make up all my lost ground as i try to hold the wheel straight so i dont rip off his $5,000 passenger mirror. and right as im about to fly by him he let off. either way i dont get a lot of good races so i figured id throw one up for the hell of it. badass car tho

ya, the one that I drove has the F1 style paddle shifters. I beleive they do have a 6 speed manual option but Reeves only had the paddles shifter ones. The paddles shifters can also be driven like an automatic but who would do that??
The maseratis are made in the Modena Ferrari factory, the tranny is the same tranny that the Modena comes with. The motor is a very similar design to the Modena engine...basically the new Maserati is a poor mans Modena.. scott |
