Two more mustangs see the taillights...

Well, cruising Sat night while still on low boost...was looking for a little action to see how I compared. Hop on the race track heading toward Tampa when I see 2 mustangs cruising. The first mustang look like a 95ish GT in the right lane and didn't sound like he wanted to run. The GT I pulled up behind looked nice...all black and maybe an aftermarket rear bumper...hard to tell but looked nice. Anyways, I accelerate up to him from behind, let off, and put my headlights in his side mirror to let him know I'm game.

He downshifted, and I hear the glorious roar of his dual exhaust with a little puff of unburnt gas. So I accelerate and keep on him...he moves over to the right and still on it WOT, I continue past him, put a car on him in one gear and then let off, as I had reached the end of the track. Not bad considering I had come from behind and put a car on him...all in one gear.

Next victim was a green Mustang GT. Nice and clean car and we are on the track going away from Tampa. I pull up next to him and blowoff. He proceeds to slow down enough for me to put in 2nd at 5K rpms. So then he nods over to me...I say thanks for the gesture, but wave him on to go first. So he goes oh well, drops a gear and I see his front end lift quickly as he accelerates. Well, I hit third gear, make up a car and when both our doors are side by side, I hit forth and proceeded to pull away a couple cars and I shut down as the track was ending again. Nice car and guy gave me a thumbs up and I returned the gesture.

Well, can't wait to actually turn up the boost and tune her. Then I'll probably be a frequent poster in this forum

Is your car the Pearl white VR4 with Bronze Volks and the GTO wing and crap ?

Looked really nice goin over hte bridge with the Supra's

Thanks man...don't know about the crap part

Anyways, the wing is stock as it is a real 99...one of 45 in the US.

Don't know what it runs in the quarter since it's a new setup now.

It's good to see all you guys and be back on the road. What's funny is that the Supra guys are tuning my car...so who knows what might happen

One thing for sure, I won't have a traction problem, and I won't mind running from a stop :o
