Where are the VW Speed Freaks?

I have a 98 Passat 1.8T. Looking for a tech that knows VW's. I want to find a K04, FMIC with piping, and Boost controller. I live in Clearwater....

T3/T4? I know that the K04 is direct bolt on. Has anybody run the K04? Is it a waste of time?

go for the gt28rs. or if u want big power go for a t67

also vdubs cant run controllers until you get your ecu chipped with the set boost pressure you wana run. because if you use just the controller your ecu will go to limp mode and you will get no boost at all.

How about a T3/T4? Also, in regards to the boost controller. I was talking about the one that taps into your ECU. i have a friend with a GTI that swears by it.

the t3/t4 is a good turbo. you would have to buy a new manifold and stuff. and deff have a fmic.

well if i were you i would just get the giac x-chip.
my friend jarrod has one and its set at 22psi all the time.
so when ever he gets into boost its 22 psi. its only like 400-500 buks.
and you wont really even need the controller after getting it chipped. your boost will be controlled by the chip.

Right but that is 22psi out of a small turbo. 22 psi out of a ko3 is way different than 22psi out of a t3/t4.

Thinking about buying a kit from them, but it's going to be more like $5000 w/intake, exhaust, & chip. 350-400 hp + AWD = sideways fo sho.

For a mild upgrade to the 1.8t, I think the are fine. I know a few people who had success with them. I am not a fan of ATP cast manifolds though.
