k swaps are nice but too pricy. take the same money on any b series and make more power and be faster.

My engine doesnt cost twice the value of my vehicle.......honda owners have many options...why get a stock K set up and do 13's..when you spend the same money and have a D or B built will alot more potential..I started with an already good platform...I drive my car other than just a straight line...

From a stop is the real way to drag(which it is).

an evo does cost twice as much as a a regular lancer. but i guess you get a little more than a drivetrain.A built anything will not be as reliable as a factory motor. Some people value the ability to be fast all the time. I never understood why people swap motors into heavy cars (but to each their own). I think it is pretty good for a heavy ass integra & EK. You have basically high 12 second cars that will run forever, get great mpg, and give you no trouble. seems like a pretty good deal to me. You just have to hide it from the thieves.1992 Civic stock k20 w/boost: 10.69@133

I was just thinking.....how many swapped 240's do we have running around Tampa? probably thousands. I don't recall ever seeing one run faster than a mid 12 at the track. I know really fast ones are here locally (3-4 come to mind). We probably have 12 million swapped civics in Tampa as well, most are 14 second cars. I have seen a couple evos run in the mid-high 11's locally and saw a video of the ryu guy run 10's (sic). Then We have the old school DSM guys who's cars were/are insane: Bucci's old car (sic),Miguel's car(sic) Jerry's car which is probably the coolest/most potent car i have ever seen in my entire life. So why am I rambling... I guess i am wondering what is so bad with a 12.7 second time slip? Seems pretty respectable to me.

YouTube - Mofo Production- S/C'd Stang vs Civic Evo vs Cobra and more.
Didn't you need slicks on your em1 with just a k series and spray?? How is that good? And it looks like the tire/wheel are sticking out from the fender in this video. Worrying about smashing a fender or cutting a slick open while driving home does not look fun IMO.
