If you do some research on chows car you will find out that it's really a twin turbo small block chevy under the hood. That's last time that I remember. Car has alot of traction problems at the track. So far I think the fastest true GN (as in a grand national with the same block that came with it) would be Cal Heartline and he runs ~8.50s in street trim with baby seat in the back.

Hartline runs an aftermarket stage 2 aluminum block. Fastest stock block GN's have gone mid 9's. Chow's car has ran 8.0 @ 175 Here's a track video of it... Looks like it gets plenty of traction. I think his car has gone faster since then... http://www.fasttrackperformance.com/...R2QualChow.wmv

Sorry I should have been clearer. I meant is as the same style block that came in the motor. The stage 2 aluminum block is still designed as the original 3.8 motor. I pretty much meant it as he is the GN without a motor swap by class rules.
