After combustion, exhaust gas exits to the exhaust manifold, and then to the header. Thus, replacing the stock header eliminates back pressure, and yields a better airflow. Now, turbo cars run off the exhaust gases. So if you replaced your header, there would be a greater airflow, which means more air spinning the turbine, which means more compression, which means more air in each cylinder, which means better combustion, which brings about MORE POWER. So where exactly was i wrong in saying that? I know some back pressure is good in turbo cars, but i'm no expert. Furthermore, replacing the headers would benefit your engine. If youre compressing more air on a stock header, you're also having more exhaust gas flowing through the manifold to the header, and eventually, esp at high boost, something would get fucked up. So, where exactly did I go wrong here? |
