If that bike is running low 11's, it's modded. My 900RR's best was 10.98, and it was modded, and yes, I can ride. All of the stock and slightly modded F4i's I've seen run at the track are mid to high 11's.
If that Cobra really had all that HP, then he should've walked that bike like nothing. I've run F4i's, Gixxer 600's, and R6's in my T/A and pulled them from a 80mph roll, and I only have a lid and muffler. |

I don't know about the Cobra being faster than the F4i. The HP/weight ratio is just so much more in favor of the F4i it's scary. I ride a Honda Magna which has a 750cc V4 in it, and I can run the wheels off of most modified late model muscle. Scarily, a CBR 600 can usually run with my bike no problem, so it's pretty believable that it ran that blown Cobra like that.
Now as far as the guy's shifting, yeah, that was prolly slow. He sure could've ran the RPM's a little higher and been a little faster with the shift. I don't know if he planned on running that bike prior to leaving his house that night, but if I plan on running something like that, I usually leave my heavy ass passenger and the camcorder at home! I personally know my car isn't taking down any bikes when I roll up on them at a red light, so I never even try. |

Did you see how hunched over that guy was? Plus, he has a full-face helmet on and all those fairings on the bike, he was doing pretty good for wind drag. My bike is a big ol' cruiser and I was running a rice burner down HARD the other day at 105mph with a passenger on the back. I know I start to get some wind drag around 130-140mph, so that guy could've easily done 160mph without getting too much resistance from the wind. This is also assuming the weather was perfect outsdie too, which it might've been considering how hard he was running that blown Cobra.

I ran an 11.10 @ 125mph on Z's stock F4i back in the day. Crappy launch too, 1.9x compared to my usual 1.7-1.8's.........

Dude, my bone stock 2001 R6 ran a 11.3 with me babying it out of the whole. And would do 176. The cobra was slow, or not making the power claimed. I'm sure now that i'm a better rider i could run 11 flat or better. and my trap speed at 11.3 was 135.

Secondly, there is no way a stock R6 is going to run 135mph in the 1/4-mile. 125mph or so is realistic for that e/t. My old F3 ran 11.2 @ 123mph and I ran a friends stock F4i to 11.10 @ 125mph. Hell, even my stock 954 runs 10.5 @ "only" 133mph. Not trying to be an ass but just wanted to get the facts out there. |
