Good place to purchase tires ?
I'll be in the market for some Toyo Open Country MT 285/75/17 in about 2 months..
Everybody is back ordered on these.
Where is that special place you go to get tires ?

Why are you set on those? I'm kind of a cheap ass but I wait for good deals on CL. You can find mint tires for 50% less or more than cost.

it's basically the only upsized tire that I can fit on my truck, that will look good, last decent enough , and I won't have to get new 17x9 rims..
I'm running 17x8 now.. I have put a lot of thought into that size, and its between that and the Nitto trail grapplers, but I had a bad time with my terras NEVER treating me good, and I'm reluctant to go back to nitto's... even though I hear toyo makes nittos now??
Right now I have 265/70/17 in ProComps.. T-Bars cranked to level the truck. it's a 1500 QC dodge 2005.. It needs a little more tire but I don't want 35's because I would basically need to get new rims.. something I don't want to do yet. But with the Toyo's I can go to a 17x9 later if I wanted too, or stick with my 17x8 and not rub. And not stress out my steering rack which leaks on a cold winter night lol..

Discount Tire Direct is a pretty good company to deal with. Prices are good and customer service is really good. They ship for free and it gets there pretty fast.

ended up with 35x12.5x17 Trail Grapplers from Tire Kingdom.
just needed to put 1/4" spacers on the front to clear the upper control arms.
