When me and my friends left saturday (12/10) we where stopped by some sherriffs at the main gate. They took IDs,etc and told us there is no trespassing and to find a different entrance and come back next weekend.

Well tonight my friend got arrested for trespassing... IDK what in the fuck they are up to. If you look on the map, the main trail is a road. Not sure how they can block it or arrest anyone. I'll update this when he gets out the only reason I can think of is he had a gun in the truck.

Just a heads up. We MIGHT go see whats going on this weekend, but it seems like the cops only show up right before dark to get people leaving.

when did they start arresting for trespassing? ive always just got a damn $30 ticket.

I haven't been out there in some time but when I was going before they would show up on UTV's just trying to catch people doing anything illegal. There was never anything they could do about you going back there due to the status of the property. There has to be more to the story or they passed some kind of ordinance on the land. It's un-developable and hundreds of people got screwed on that deal so the only people who really care are the hunters and the cops. It use to be a nice place to go, now I would never take my kids anywhere near there, it's been run into the ground.

UPDATE: I called up Polk County Sheriffs office and what they did was find the front land owners and fined them for dumping to get them to fence it off and post trespassing signs and allow them to monitor it... I guess they still havent gotten the entrance before the main one because there are cars parked there still. They cant do shit if they get you in the back since it isnt fenced off and posted, you just have to get back there. They will fine you the maximum for littering though.

well what about the people that always cook food and u pay them 5 dollers to park there? how can they kick u out if ur on there property? everytime i go there i never see police i guess there crackin down on that place

You haven't been recently then. That place got shut down weeks ago. I live a rock throw away.

i was gonna go about 2 weeks ago but its about an hour drive from me and would suck to get there and not be able to get in

Basically. I haven't been out there since, but I have seen people out there again with no cops in sight.

Sweet! Any recommendations on where NOT to go in that area? My friends want to hit it up, but I've never been.

they only blocked a few entrances so if it has a fence dont rip it down. the very first entrance is safe.

I drove by it this weekend by myself but I couldn't find the entrance. I did see several 4x4s and ATVs coming and going from that general area all muddied up, so I figured it was still open. After that I went up to Richloam for a few, but I don't really know the layout of it too well.

I had to sell my for some school stuff since I wasn't working but now I'm looking for one again especially since my friends go out there again.
