ok so for $53.25 i bought 2 alternators from 98 auto recycle
both denso pn: 56027913
136 amp alts
one was to upgrade the Jeeps own stock power
the other is now going to be a weldenator
for all i know it will burn up in 5 seconds after i weld well see

well thats it so far no wires nothing yet

tests show the rotor takes about 5-6 amps at 14.4 volts
at idle it puts out about 20 volts and at 1800 rshared_pm 60 volts
it lit up a 60watt 110 volt light bulb dimmly during the test
amp output will be max depending on rods and resistance (i guess)

ok it did not explode and seemed to work very well in the revs range of 1300 -1800
i tried 2000 but it was too much for the 3/16 6011 rods i tried
at 900 idle it sparks but won't arc so it needs around 60 volts or so to weld nice
the altenator seemed to be fine with what i am doing no noises or exessive heat
so far so good ill have to test it more
