1986 Chevy, Good deal?
Hey guys. Found an '86 Chevy 1/2 ton for sale on Craigslist. 4x4. Auto. No rust at all. It's an older lady selling it. She's not sure if it's a 305 or 350. She's asking $1500. Most I've seen are selling $2000 or more. Sounds like a good deal to me. I think I might check it out...any input?

Thats pretty much exactly what i'm looking for here too, $1500 is a decent price, just be sure to check the floor pans for rust.
If it runs & shifts good, 4x4 works in high & low, decent tires, paint, etc, it sounds like a good deal.Offroading Spots near Tampa

Eh, I went and checked it out and didn't even stop. They said the body was in great shape and no rust, I pulled up and could see rust right from the road. Looks like I'm going to have to pay a little more for a decent truck.

that sucks man, same here too though, its real tough to find a diamond in the rough. you sure it was bad rust and not just some surface rust? some stuff isn't too bad to fix...
