My New Project 99' sonoma
Well I picked up a 99 sonoma single cab for $700, put a new head on it, runs good. Im not new to the minitruck thing, but new to air ride.. Can someone help me out and kind of explain 2 link and 4 link stuff? also what would happen if I were to just c-notch the frame and just do bags on the axle to the frame? How would the ride quality be and how about safety? anyone who would like to chime in and help me out that would be awesome! Thanks again!

i would personaly do a 3 link from suicide doors, you can get them bolt in now so its good for a quick install,or just get the SD backhalf, includes everything for only like 1600..and i think you asking about just mono leafing it?? if so, dont do that,i had mine monoed for awhile and it doesnt ride to great and the springs have a chance of snapping(mine did),lucky for me i was only going like 5 mph..hope i helped a little

the 2 link is kind of like the leaf springs, only attaches on the bottom of the axle, nothing on top, alot of people dont like them..but if set up correctly they seem to work fine, but as far as i know they have to be custom fabbed for s-10s
the 3 link has the lower links like the 2 link, but also has a wishbone link in the middle of the axle on top, another advantage is you can get them bolt on for s-10s
4 link is the old standard, from what ive seen you need to relocate the gas tank to use them though in s10s..but they have been around forever, and everyone seems to like them
hope that helped, let me know if you have any other questions

makes sense, I am probably just going to go with a two link to start off, only because I dont need a drastic drop or anything to hop,
now with a two link say that went from axel to the leaf mount, where the shock be located? or do I even need to run a shock?

im not 100% on a 2 link, but think you can either run them off the link bars to the frame,or off the rear of the axle up to the frame

I would run shocks, and 8 valves minumum, anti sway bars are ok to leave off, you get too much body roll from air transfer and bouncing from no shocks, and 4 valves
