Big *LEGAL* Mud Meet Thanksgiving Weekend in Pasco County

This weekend after Thanksgiving, there is going to be a big LEGAL mud and off-road event in Pasco County. Its 2000 acres that will eventually be a subdivision but right now its just pasture, creeks, and some ponds/lakes. A guy that works for the developer has permission for us to tear it up this weekend. He will have front end loaders to dig pits and stuff. This is going to be big! They are expecting 1500 people with trucks, buggies, ATV's etc. Its a family event so no night riding, drinking etc. Its $12/day per adult and camping is permitted (no hookups of course).

The property is in San Antonio. The gate is about 1 mile south of SR52 on Curley Road. (Google Earth San Antionio Florida and look for Bayou Ranch). Me and some friends will be out there in our VW buggies, and the 4 wheel drive club that's hosting the event has some pretty serious stuff (most comes in on trailers, tractor tires, etc).

Thought you guys would like to get in on this since its close, cheap, LEGAL, and fun.

If you go, please respect their rules because this may not be the last event they have there since the economy sucks, and I'd hate to see it get ruined. Also, look for the rail buggies (mine's red) and say hi!

We went there. There was basically a big man-made "lake" that they were doing racing in. It was filmed by Trucks Gone Wild. CRAZY big trucks everywhere. Tomorrow its an open play hole. They have a small hole for ATV's, and a mile or two worth of trails for jeeps, buggies, 4 wheelers, etc. There were at least 1000 people there today and probably tomorrow. If you like mudding, that's the place to be. $12 a person to get in.

i think it will be closed today due to some guy violently rollin his truck !!i was there friday & saturday after the roll over they announced the pit would be closed & they wanted every body out by dark. the guy had to be air lifted out of there

Damn, I hope Will and whoever else that was in the truck is ok. I could have sworn he had a cage in the truck!
