small lift on a jeep?

There is a new Jeep in the family, an 06 Wrangler, we want it lifted a little bit but so far we got quoted $1000 for a 2.5 inch lift. Whats the best way to lift a jeep on the cheap but still maintain a safe, decent ride?

And who/where can I get it done?

Thanks!

what are you looking to do with it? daily? i would do a 4" suspension w/33 ATs at max..4.10 gears if it doesnt already have them...that way it can be a great daily and a good offroader if you decide to..go to 4wheelparts.com in tampa..or Jeepetos in st.pete..or the jeep place on 70th ave and haines right behind the mc donalds off of 34st in stpte..i think hoyt4x4..somthing like that..
