new rim issue
Hey guys, I am trying to narrow it down to what i want to do to my truck. I have a 06 silverado c1500 crewcab. I want to raise the truck along with getting a new set of rims and tires. I am looking at the fabtech 3.5" spendal lift or the CST 4" spendal lift. But the rims and tires i want they say will not fit, because the largest backspace i can uses is 4 5/8. The rim is a 20x9 with a 5.71 backspace and the tire i want is 33/12.5/20. What do i have to do to get these setup to work?
I thought having a bigger rim it would not effect anything. Any help on this would be great. Thanks guys. |

run 1" spacers, ,but i don't recommend it. when the rim has more backspacing it tucks in more. it will most likely rub on the spindle or coil. what rims do you want to run? Ive got a 4in rancho spindle lift on my chevy, and i know the kit was picky on wheel backspacing.

I also called cst and they said i could get away with a 5" back space but nothing more. So if i use a 1/2" spacer i should be fine right? |

if you are doing a 33" tire..i would go with an 18" wheel tops...like hellaslow said, it just wont look right....is it a 2wd? why do you need to lift it for some wheels? i see silverados on 24s all day long with no lift..just run some low pros..
