Due to the lack of turn out thus far the track has decided it would be best that we postpone this until after the first of the year since there are no more dates open in December. I just received this information after expressing my concern to the track about our numbers thus far.
This will be the first time we have had to postpone a regularly scheduled event btw. The previous postponement of this event from October was a short notice date given to us by the track after someone else canceled and the track was hoping we could fill the void. We have had plenty of time on this regularly scheduled event. I must say I can not blame the track for this since the numbers just did not add up based on where we were at and what we need to pull in ( racers and spectators ) to make this event work for them financially. I also must express my sincere apology to the racers that have already paid and the spectators that were looking forward to attending as well. On all other events we have had in the past we have sold them out with no problem, many times in days. The fact that this event is over a holiday weekend can not be the sole reason for the poor turn out. I just can not believe this given we have had these events over the past five years on or around holidays and attendance was never a issue. We have had events in the dead of summer and with more racer spots to sell and still sold out in plenty of time. I have my thoughts as to why the turnouts have been harder to get but that is not important right now. So if you have paid and want to wait for the next date after I am given some to choose from ( after the first of the year ) great ! If you need the money back now so be it, I understand. PM me and we can make arrangements. I started these events years ago as a alternative to street racing and they exploded in popularity on the racing and socializing front with a average of 90 racers and 400 - 600 spectators ! Not sure what has changed but I will dive into it and find out. When the next date is announced jump on it and get proactive if you want to continue to have these get togethers otherwise they are going to be a thing of the past because I am not going to leave myself open to disappoint those that look forward to attend these events and the friends I have made at the track. |

Like I said I do not have a date and the track will not have the '08 availability out until the first week of January. That's the way it is. As far as it being stupid I agree, be thankful you will not have to field the Pm's or replies I will have to endure. |

I'm sad to see the event cancelled, but low turnouts = no money for the track, and that's bad business for them. Understandble at the least.
Just keep us in the know Scott. -Jo$h |

alot of people were saying there cars were not ready, this gives them time.. plus im sure people are getting stuff for Christmas and they want to see what times it increased
... Im assuming that if we don't ask for a refund were going to be on the list for the next event automatically, correct? do I need some sort of proof I paid or are you guys going to keep track of it all? |
