A big thanks to our sponsors Coastal Dyno and Mastro Subaru.
A real big thanks to the staff at BMP for delivering as usual with no major hitches. Thanks to all the fast as hell cars that showed and put on a show for the crowd, you know who you are. Congrats to our money race winners Walt Drakesford (9.23 E.T. average) in the slick tire class and Jerry Dombroski (11.25 average) in the radial tire class. Finally thanks to all of you that showed to race or spectate. I do not know what the final spectator count was but the place was packed ! We had 77 cars running and never a waiting line other than the occasional breakdown or cleanup. Here are some of the pictures I took as well as some others took of the event. There are also some videos in the video forum. http://www.tamparacing.com/gallery/s...ry.php?cat=523 |

I know that even though I worked the event, it was still cool! Everyone was really polite when getting their timeslips from me except for a few fox body drivers (you know who you are!). I look forward to doing this again soon. Maybe next time I will be racing instead of working.

Thank you, Scott, for putting all of that hard work into organizing this track event. Certain realities smacked me in the face and prevented me from running (non-engrish: pos car), but it was a great show and I had a good time. Also, I'd like to thank the owner of the 240z, for badassedness in the field of wheelstands.

Yeah, I couldn't get an accurate report on what happened to it, I'm hoping it was just a temporary setback. Nobody has posted a timeslip or anything, but what it was supposed to be capable of would've been quite impressive, if he had made it to the money runs and had gone all out, as he claimed he would.

I hope the guy doesn't get mad at me for telling people his times, but he was running 9.1x's all night, and I was the one at the end of the track that put the fire out. From what I understand by listening to his crew try to fix it, when he slammed down after the wheelie his nitrous solenoid stuck on which caused the leak and fed the fire. Funny thing is, one of his crew members actually bitched me out for using a dry chemical fire extinguisher to put out the fire instead of CO2(which I didn't have back there). So I told him, would you rather have had me put the fire out or you watch your car burn to the ground while you wait for the EMT to bring a CO2 extinguisher? He shut up real quick!
