Come to The Firm, June 4th, and experience a complete day of automotive excitement.
Drive your car on The FIRM's 1.6 mile long road course, Ride along with a Professional Rally driver during our Rally Experience, Drive go-karts with your friends and family, and take a walk around the car show.
At the event you will be able to get out of the sun and listen to Live entertainment whilst enjoying a variety of food vendors in our VIP Area. Everyone at NACS is a VIP.

Passengers, Spectators, Go Karts, and Car Show Participants will pay in CASH, at the door upon arrival. All Tickets purchased at the door will be in CASH.
Prices are as follow:
Track Driver: $300 registered online, $350 at the door in Cash
Passengers in a track car: $25
Rally Experience: $70 registered online, $80 at the door in Cash
Car Show entry (includes 1 entry ticket): $30
Go-Karts: $20 per 5 Lap race

Track Day Drivers: A CLOSED FACE SA-2005 OR NEWER MOTORSPORTS HELMET IS REQUIRED. NO EXCEPTIONS! The FIRM has helmets for purchase which are $179 a piece they do not rent them. Closed toe shoes and Pants are also required. Drivers will be separated into run groups which will be determined by NACS Staff. Drivers must be 18 or older. All cars must be tech'd before they go on track if you have any questions about your car please contact us.
Passengers: Must have the same safety equipment that drivers do.
Rally Experience: The Rally Experience at NACS is provided by The FIRM it includes a ride along with a Professional Rally Driver through The FIRM's extensive European style rally courses. Each ticket gets you a ~10 minute ride and a Rally Experience T-Shirt. The rides are 1 person at a time and there are a limited amount of spaces. Its an experience you won't soon forget!

Car Show: There will be a Car Show at NACS. It will be judged and there will be 3 trophies awarded. Best of Show, Best Import and Best Domestic. All Participants will also receive a free event sticker. Car Show cars will be parked in grass. Entry to The FIRM is via a gravel road. Please be aware in some extreme cases cars may not be able to enter the venue.
Go-Karts: Compete against your friends and family on The FIRM's outdoor Go-Kart road course style track. Each ticket is good for one 5 lap race. If you're not first you're last!
Spectators: Attendees at NACS have many options to choose from throughout the day. Walk through the car show, browse vendor booths, watch high speed racing on track, and mingle with people with similar interests. This is a car event like no other.

WRC: FIA evaluating future of current cars

The FIA will table a proposal for the future of current specification World Rally Cars before the end of this month.
The existing machinery will not be competitive against the faster and more-advanced 2017 WRC cars, but will remain homologated and therefore technically legal to compete in the World Rally Championship.
Manufacturers and private teams are keen to know they will figure in the championship, and WRC manager Jarmo Mahonen has raised concerns over the potential confusion of running the cars alongside 2017 machinery. Cars built to R5 specification already compete under the WRC2 banner.
"Do we really need to create something between R5 and the 2017 World Rally cars?" Mahonen said. "Shall we screw the R5 cars by running the [2016 World Rally cars]? That doesn't sound good. We have so many R5 cars now, that category is clearly a success.
"We are discussing with the manufacturers what shall we do with the old car. I have asked for some feedback and we will have some sort of proposal by the end of the month."
Mahonen hotly denied speculation that the current cars had already been condemned.
"Somebody told me this, they said we had made the decision already to ban them, but that is absolutely not the case," he said. "Citroen is selling some cars to PH-Sport, Hyundai has some and, of course, M-Sport is selling these current cars – but all of those teams have an R5 car."
Many of the WRC's current private drivers are not willing to step back to R5 cars, but getting 2017 machinery could be tricky as manufacturers struggle to supply cars in the first half of next season. M-Sport's Malcolm Wilson has pointed to the gap between R5 and 2017-specification cars if current cars are outlawed.
"It's a massive gap," Wilson told Autosport. "I think it will be quite difficult for drivers to get up to speed with the new 2017 car coming out of an R5 car. The obvious thing for me is to leave the current cars there and maybe create another tier which will fill that gap.
"We're only looking at a year or two at the most for this solution, the [current] cars don't have a long shelf life. The teams are all stopping building them now, with the focus moving to the new cars, so there simply won't be the cars around in a couple of years."
Wilson added that turning away potential customers for the world championship made no sense, commercially or from a sporting and spectacle perspective.
"We have got lots of customers who are really keen to compete in the World Rally Championship and in a World Rally car," he said. "Understandably, the FIA wants to restrict access to the new cars, but it would be a shame to turn away more competitors when there are cars sitting around that could be used."

As the clock ticks down to the Toyota RAV4's rally debut, it's time for Ryan Millen to shake it down and see how it performs.

On The Loose, Episode 3, "We're a three-man army..." sees Millen, his girlfriend and navigator Christina Fate, and lead mechanic Brian Hoeppner take the rally-prepped RAV4 to the California/Arizona border to put it through its paces on some suitably fast and rough roads.
The first shakedown is always the moment of truth, and the nerves are building as the RAV4 emerges from its trailer and heads out to the gravel-strewn roads outside of Blythe, Calif. How will it handle? Will it be quick? Will anything break? And how will Ryan and Christina adapt to the demands of calling and following pace notes? Check out Episode 3...

Not an obvious choice? You could say that, but the 30-year-old Millen wouldn't have it any other way.

The family-friendly, compact crossover SUV will be competing against rally-honed machinery such as Ford's Fiesta and the Subaru WRX in a number of West Coast-based events, starting in the fast forests of Idaho.
Sure, it's a challenge, but taking a different approach is what makes it such a compelling project. And Millen is confident that the road car RAV4 is a capable platform from which to develop a competitive rally racer.

Wednesday, 20 May 2015 "Something's going on here," notes Pikes Peak Hill Climb and rallying legend Rod Millen of his family's motorsports accomplishments. "I haven't quite figured it out yet, but we've all been attracted to doing something unique and different."
In Rod's case, "unique and different" includes smashing the Pikes Peak outright record in a pickup truck – a no-holds-barred, fire-breathing, turbocharged Toyota Tacoma, no less.
And the latest Millen to take the road less traveled and race outside the box is Rod's son, Ryan.
The 2014 SCORE Tecate Baja 1000 class winner is gearing up to go stage rallying this year...in a production-based 2015 Toyota RAV4 LE.
